Your next customer may never see a list of ten blue links
They ask an assistant, read one answer, and act on it. If your page is not in that answer, the ranking it holds is worth considerably less than it was.

Why ranking is no longer the whole job
An assistant answering a question does not show ten results. It composes one answer from a handful of sources and names some of them. Being eleventh was always bad. Being eleventh now means being absent entirely.
The pages that get quoted are not usually the longest or the most optimised. They are the ones a machine can lift a clean answer out of: a question, then the answer directly under it, with the facts stated plainly and the page labelled with structured data.
What Visorank does about it
Every article is written to be quotable, and the site you already have gets measured against the same standard.
- A direct answer in the opening
- The first paragraph answers the question in the title, because that is the block an assistant extracts when it summarises.
- Question headings with answers under them
- Sections are phrased the way people ask, so each one is a self-contained unit something can cite.
- Structured data on every article
- Article, FAQ and breadcrumb blocks, so the page states what it is rather than leaving it to be inferred from the prose.
- A GEO score per article
- Zero to a hundred, with the signals that produced it listed, recalculated whenever the article changes so the score never describes a version that no longer exists.
- A check on whether you are actually named
- Runs the questions a buyer would ask against the assistants and reports whether you come up, and who does instead.
See which of your pages an assistant could actually quote.
Start freeWhat nobody can promise here
No one controls whether an assistant cites a given page, and anyone selling a guarantee of it is selling a guess. What can be done is make a page easy to quote and then measure whether it is being quoted.
AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity each choose sources differently, and all three change often. The signals here are the ones that hold across them, not a trick aimed at one.
Run the check on a site you already have.

What is GEO, and is it different from SEO?
Generative engine optimisation is making a page easy for an answer engine to quote rather than just easy to rank. The two overlap heavily. The difference is structural: GEO cares whether a clean answer can be lifted out of the page, which classical SEO never needed to care about.
Does structured data make an assistant cite me?
On its own, no. It makes the page legible: what it is, who wrote it, which questions it answers. Legible pages get quoted more often than illegible ones, which is as strong a claim as the evidence supports.
Can I check my existing pages rather than writing new ones?
Yes. The site audit crawls what you already have and flags pages with no structured data, no question headings, and nothing an assistant could quote.
