KoalaWriter writes the article. You still have to publish it

That sentence is the whole comparison. KoalaWriter is a writing tool with an API and no named CMS integrations. Visorank researches, writes, publishes to your site and tracks whether it ranked. Which one you want depends entirely on which step is actually stopping you.

The Visorank dashboard listing three connected sites, how many articles each has published, and a banner saying one site has no platform connected.
The dashboard leads with whatever is blocking publishing, not with a chart.

Where the work really stops

Most people who stop publishing did not stop because they could not write. They stopped because of everything around the writing: choosing the keyword, checking who already ranks, formatting the post, picking the category, adding the image, hitting publish, and then doing it again next week.

A writing tool solves one step of that. It is the step that feels hardest, which is why writing tools sell well, but it is rarely the step where the habit actually breaks. If you have a folder of generated drafts that were never posted, you have already run this experiment.

The reverse is also true and worth being honest about. If you enjoy the writing and control it closely, if you edit every draft heavily, if you publish by hand anyway because you want to, then automation of the publishing step buys you nothing and a writing tool with finer control is the better purchase.

What Visorank does that a writing tool does not

The whole sequence runs without you, and each piece exists because it is a place the habit breaks.

It publishes into your CMS
WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, Webflow or your own endpoint, filed under the right category rather than dumped in Uncategorised.
It runs on a schedule
One article every so many hours, from a keyword queue, with a calendar that projects forward and tells you the date the queue runs dry before it does.
It tracks whether it worked
Rank tracking against the keyword the article targeted, in the same product, so you find out which articles earned anything.
It audits the site underneath
No volume of new articles compensates for pages blocked from indexing or a canonical pointing at the wrong URL. The audit reports those before you add more.
It scores drafts for AI citation
Whether an assistant can lift an answer from the page, scored before publishing rather than guessed at.
A site audit report showing a score of 73, forty-four pages checked, one critical finding, and a bar splitting the pages into critical, warning, notice and clean.
The audit groups by problem rather than by page, so the list is one you work through.

Run the free audit and see what is already published and broken.

Competitor figures collected October 2026 from published listings, not from using the product. Check their own pricing page before deciding on this basis.

What KoalaWriter publicly states, as of October 2026

Reported capabilities: generating SEO articles from a keyword using real-time data, a bulk writer, automatic internal linking, SERP research, outline editing, YouTube link generation, Amazon affiliate link creation and image generation. It has an API. Its listing names no specific CMS or publishing platforms.

Pricing is quoted by word volume rather than as a flat tier, with the vendor describing nine plans sized by how many words you need, a free trial, and no free version. That makes a direct price comparison with a flat monthly tool unreliable, so this page does not attempt one. Check your own expected volume against their calculator.

Two things it does that Visorank does not: bulk generation of many articles in one run, and Amazon affiliate link insertion. If you run affiliate sites, that second one is not a small difference and it points clearly at KoalaWriter.

Who should pick which

Pick KoalaWriter if you want maximum control over individual drafts, if you generate in large batches and publish on your own terms, or if you build affiliate content and want the affiliate linking built in.

Pick Visorank if the bottleneck is everything around the writing, if you want the articles going live on a schedule without you, or if you want the auditing and rank tracking in the same place rather than as two more subscriptions.

A thing worth noticing about yourself before buying either: if you already have unpublished drafts sitting somewhere, more drafts is not the purchase you need.

What Visorank will not do

It does not generate in large bulk runs. Articles come one at a time on a schedule, which is deliberate and is the wrong answer if you want fifty at once.

It does not insert Amazon affiliate links.

It gives you less line-by-line control over an individual draft than a dedicated writing tool does. You get an editor and a rewrite, not a generation workflow with knobs.

It cannot get pages into Google faster than Google wants them.

If you have unpublished drafts sitting in a folder, more drafts is not the fix.

Questions worth asking first

Can I use both?

Plenty of people would be better off doing exactly that: write where you want control, automate where you do not. Visorank publishes to an endpoint of your own, so a draft produced elsewhere can be pushed through the same publishing and tracking path. It is not a one-click import, but nothing prevents it.

Does Visorank have a bulk writer?

Not in the sense of generating fifty articles in one run. The programmatic pages feature generates a set from one template with per-row research, and it stops after three consecutive near-duplicates rather than filling your site with pages that differ by one word. That is a guard, not a limitation, but it does mean the output is slower by design.

Which produces better writing?

Not a question this page will pretend to answer. Both offer a way to try before paying. Run the same keyword through each.

Find out whether writing is actually your bottleneck

The free audit crawls your site and reports what is wrong with what is already published. If it finds a lot, the next article was never the problem.
