Keyword density checker

Shows which words and phrases repeat most, and how often, for single words and for two and three word phrases.

Add at least ten words to see anything meaningful.

What keyword density should I aim for?

None. Keyword density has not been a ranking factor for a long time, and no target percentage exists to hit. The reason to look at density is the opposite of optimisation: it catches text where one phrase repeats so often that the writing has gone stiff, which readers notice well before a search engine does.

So why does every SEO tool still show it?

Because it is easy to compute and it looks like a measurement. Treat a high number as a prompt to re-read that paragraph, not as a score to move.

What is a stop word?

Common words like the, and, of, that carry grammar rather than meaning. They sit at the top of any frequency count and tell you nothing, so they are filtered out here by default.
